Releasing in August 2010 Isaac's Gun, An American Tale

Summoned to the office of her late grandfather’s attorney, Megan Holcomb is presented with a stack of journals and a mysterious locked briefcase. She is informed that her grandparents gave explicit instructions that the briefcase not be opened until Megan had read though the journals in their entirety.

The initial journal opens in San Diego, California in 1943 where Martin Holcomb finds himself in a Navel hospital struggling to recover from physical wounds and mental demons he picked up while covering the war in the Pacific. At the hospital, Martin meets Navy WAVE, Sherrill O’Toole, who takes him home to her parents’ ranch, where he falls in love with both her and her remarkable family.

At the ranch, Martin is introduced to Sherrill’s grandfather, Isaac Ramsey, a fellow war veteran and writer. Isaac recounts stories of his own experiences during the Nez Perce War of 1877 and helps Martin come to terms with his post-combat struggles.

This incredible story crosses multiple generations of a passionate, generous and dynamic family. As Megan completes the last of the journals, she opens the mysterious briefcase, revealing an item that has deeply touched the lives of her beloved family and those that came before them.

Author and Journalist Alan Elsner Signs with Merpoint!

Merpoint Publishing is pleased to announce the signing of Alan Elsner, international journalist and author of the thriller "The Nazi Hunter" and three other books. In 2007, Publisher’s Weekly called Elsner’s first novel, “The Nazi Hunter” “a gripping debut thriller” while Library Journal said it, “chimes with the bells and whistles of a thriller while tracing the honest emotions of its appealingly sincere characters."

His book “Gates of Injustice: The Crisis in America’s Prisons” won wide praise as a dramatic exposé of appalling neglect and abuse in the nation’s jails. The late Sen. Edward Kennedy said: “Elsner makes an overwhelming case for reform, and his many sensible proposals deserve to be implemented. This book should be a wake-up call for federal, state, and local governments across America.”

Alan's latest novel, "Romance Language" was printed on a small scale in November 2009 and has been re-released as an eBook by Merpoint Publishing.
